Following on from last months former players updates I now once again take a look at some of the players who were with The Blades last season to see how they are getting on at their new clubs.

Despite an encouraging start, Connor Sammon only managed 5 goals for the Blades last season and he seems to have carried on his poor form with his new club Hearts

“Take a scrappy 1-0 with a Sammon strike from a yard out, going 2 clear in second would be good”

“Taken that too far, a Conor Sammon goal….”

“After his miss against Dundee i’m not sure how confident i’d be that he would bag from a yard.”

“I can’t see what the Watt/Sammon “partnership” is achieving. It’s certainly not goals.”

“Watt loses possession by trying too much.
Sammon loses possession through a complete lack of any footballing ability.”

“He is an appalling footballer.”

“He’s terrible”

“Our forwards are frankly shockingly bad together. And that cascades through the team as the pressure on them all builds as the games game goes on. Connor Sammon ? Any chance someone will take him ?”
“Just release Sammon and give a young laddie a game. ”

“Kudos the boys that started the “if Sammon scores we’re on the pitch song””

“Why the fuck does Sammon still get a game for Hearts ”

“Works hard but not good enough. “

“Hearts fans who blame Connor Sammon for everything that goes wrong need to get a grip”

Jamie Murphy has now been at Brighton for over a year but has still not managed to break into Gordon Strachan’s Scotland squad. This has left a few Brighton fans scratching their heads

“Ridiculous that Murphy isn’t in the Scotland squad”

“How on earth is Jamie Murphy not in the Scotland team?” “

I get leg rubbingly excited when Jamie Murphy runs so directly at the opposition.”

“Jamie Murphy continues to impress.”

“Fecking love Murphy”

“Jamie Murphy’s magic”

Che Adams got off to a great start to his Birmingham career after bagging a couple of goals and earning praise from his new manager. Recently though he’s found himself on the bench. Despite this the fans are still very much behind him with one supporter even honouring him with his own chant

“RYTHM IS A DANCER ADAMS IS THE ANSWER HE’LL SCORE GOALS FROM ANYWHERE”

“Our squad is now so good that Fabbrini and Adams are on the bench”

“Feel sorry for him sitting on the bench”

“Adams should be starting most games”

“Why isn’t Rowett picking Adams?”

“Adams did most of his good work playing off the left for Sheff Utd. I think it could work really well for us”

Despite never making a league start Diego De Girolamo gained himself a huge reputation at United mainly thanks to reports that Italian giants Juventus were interested in taking him to Turin. The move never materialized and having been released by The Blades in the Summer De Girolamo now finds himself at Bristol City. He is struggling to make the first team squad at Ashton Gate though there have been encouraging displays from the Italian striker in the U23’s

“Diego Di Girolamo is a works in progress and this new-look City line-up has the potential to go all the way to the Premier League’s promised land.”

“De Girolamo was the best player on the pitch in the two U/23 games I’ve seen .”

“De Girolamo looked our most effective forward,”

“De Girolamo might well have a chance of being on the bench soon based on his performances”

“LJ clearly likes De Girolamo and has already said he is close to the first team.”

“mabe time forDe Girolamo to go on loan as well, as he is doing well too.”

“Other than De Girolamo , we had no threat up front.”

Connor Dimaio followed Chris Morgan and Danny Wilson to Chesterfield in January this year and soon established himself as a first team regular at The Proact Stadium. Unfortunately for the young Irishman he has recently attracted plenty of criticism from Spireite fans

“dimaio is very very poor (when he leaves us, he’ll be matlock level)”

“Dimaio, who Wilson signed, is utterly sh*te.”

“how Dimaio gets a start I don’t know.”

“Dimaio keeps losing possession in the engine room. Phil T says his problem is that he looks where to pass before he controls the ball. It doesn’t bode well for a long, successful career.”

“Dimaio is such a poor player.”

“DW and CM must see something in him that we can’t. All managers make mistakes. CD looks like one. Hopefully I’m wrong and he will come good”

“Dimaio is lower league 2 at very best”
