Blades 2-2 Gillingham

“Very unexpected point today”

“I was expecting a right tonking after last week.”

“I’d have taken that etc
Sounds like we were still getting forward towards the end. “

“The Blades board is full of worst team etc stuff, but a couple noted the performance of our center backs and keeper. Said he wound up the locals too.”

“Great result. Really dug in and earnt the point. Well done lads.”

“Been a lovely day. The rest of the family are all united fans and none of them are happy with the Gills apparent “cheating” and “time wasting.”
A load of rubbish if you ask me. I think they’re all just feeling very bitter about the result.
As I keep reminding them, united had plenty of opportunities to put the game to bed (especially first half) and didn’t take them – can’t see how our ‘time wasting’ made much of a difference.
What’s the alternative? Try and play them and get a spanking like Swindon and port vale have this season. “

“It’s not always gonna be pretty that’s what Ady said we got a very good point today at last some organisation and some bottle ! that’s all we ask”

“Not a great footballing performance from Gills but it was a performance that was, indeed, both spirited and committed; a much better showing than at Oldham.
We played five across the middle and harried them quite well. Herd was strong again and put in a courageous shift but he was cleverly beaten by their #9 who threaded a neat ball for Sharp`s opening goal.we still need to a new centre half, no doubt about that. Our make-shift back four is vulnerable. Nelson had an absolutely splendid game making some excellent saves to keep us in the match. We might even have nicked it at the end when a ball fell to Dack and he volleyed it from just o/side the box. FRom our seats it looked like it was goal bound but it went wide of the goalie`s right post. “

“Good steely performance. Well done, we got the rub of the green today because i thought we looked ..well,.. organised. Five across the middle and I would love to see us passing it more through the midfield particularly when Nelson gets hold of the ball. He pulled off some magnificent saves so I cant be too critical.”

“a spirited and committed performance. A long time since we heard any of that. Delighted with the point”

“just got home a very happy man well done lads great to see that old passion and team spirt back”

“A good point against a team who are top for a reason, I know it’ll take a few weeks but at least the players seemed to play with a bit of passion today and looks as though we may be heading in the right direction “

“Today was a great performance against a quality team. Were Sheffield United the better team? Absolutely but a clear change in mentality earned us a point where, under JED, we would likely have taken a thrashing.
Attitude is more important than ability and the work rate from every man in a Gills shirt was the best I’ve seen in a long time, earning us the right to be a little lucky at times. “

“running around will get you goals and points at this level! Under JED we often looked lazy and uninterested but hard work got us a point out of a game we would have definitely lost under the previous manager. Good tonic for the misery of last week, hopefully we can kick on now and move away from that relegation zone that is worryingly close.”

“CLUELESS!!! ONCE AGAIN SOME PEOPLE ARE COMPLETELY IGNORING THE ACTUAL PERFORMANCE , IT WAS DIRE.
LISTEN TO CHRIS WILDER , HE THOUGHT WE WERE ABYSMAL AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN THRASHED. WE WEREN’T DUE ENTIRELY TO NELSON (EVEN THOUGH HIS FUMBLE GAVE THEM THEIR SECOND) “
