“I think it’s a bad move on his part, Once Sheffield United’s money runs out they will be just an average Championship team. He could be far better off staying where he is idolised. Sometimes you are better off with the devil you know”
“He will get dogs abuse when we play them at the Den on January 31st”
“He’s suffered badly with injuries throughout his career so can you really blame him for probably doubling
(Or more) his money while he can.
Done well for us”
“After Saturday’s performance by them they don’t look like contenders so he can’t be going for a chance at Prem, he’d have equal chance with us. So must be money.. and who wouldn’t take a significant pay rise in a career which has limited time span.”
“he has done well for us. Personally i dont wanna see him leave, but we got him on a free and we are gonna make a profit out of it, we move on.
Wish him all the best.”
“His ability is why a manager who plays tip tap football from his own 6 yard box will pay a lot for him, I doubt I will ever see a CB play for us with his ability on the ball, unless we get promoted.
He has been genuine throughout his time with us down to the last where he would of played for us on Saturday and given his all, so I wish him well.”
“Based on a lot of assumptions re wage demands, his ambition, etc I think that some PL clubs may have missed a trick.
Italian clubs seemed to be interested @+/-£3m, so unless he gets a career threatening injury – which will presumably be insured against – or goes completely off the boil, it’s unlikely that his resale value would dip below £1.5.”
“I think Tango has been fantastic for us, most skillful (as in skill on the ball) centre half I’ve seen down the Den. I distinctly remember one instance where I had been distracted and looked up to see Esse skip past 2 opponents on the wing with some trickery – there was nothing remarkable about it until I spotted that Esse was somewhere else on the pitch and it was in fact Tango that was doing the George Best impression.
I’m sorry to see him go, but you’ve got to appreciate the huge profit we have made and the fact that he was a huge asset while generating all that money for us. Good luck to him but not against us.”
“Tango is a great player who i would have loved to stay
but i never felt his heart was in it with us”
“Personally, I think Tanganga is a very good player but not at all irreplaceable”
“Crama is a much better CB than Jaffa, Jaffa moved into a cb at ours, he’s decent but if it’s around £10m I’ll dive him to Sheffield free of charge if the club get this over the line that’s some business, spend dosh on CB cover and strenghen the midfield”
“Not such a big loss, Crama has been outstanding since we got him and played a blinder on Saturday in Tanga,s position, think Crama is as good if not better.
Cant see Tanga,s leaving will have any impact.”
“No premier clubs came for Tanganga even with a very low (£1.5M) sell on clause in his contract so maybe he is not as good as some are making him out to be.
For me Crama is better and Tanganga leaving will have no impact on the team.”
“The fact (so it seems) that no Prem club came in for him even with a derisory release clause tells its own story.
I think he a good player who for my money is easily replaceable”
“Tanganga won’t be playing top flight anytime soon”
“Hilarious if they sack their manager after Tanganga joins and he ends up on loan at Cambridge next season”
