“Very weird turnaround from this fixture last year, they were heavy favourites and still in the fight for the automatics, since then they pretty much thrown away the play offs, sacked Wilder, lost every game and reappointed Wilder, pretty impressive in such a very short space of time, Even a couple of weeks ago you would have had them as favourites for this game but not so much now, we actually have a bit of pressure on us to get a first home win against a woefully out of form team. Still fancy us to do it in a tight 1-0 repeat of last season, first league clean sheet as well.”

“We need a win this is a massive game already. So positive after the last 2 games SUFC are on a dire run. Think a tight win.”

“Will be another tough game but I fancy us to get all 3 points.”

“Don`t be complacent, stick to the recent energy & effort levels and we should get a win.”

“If we play at the same levels as Sunday and there are no injuries we’ll win comfortably.
See no reason why we can’t.
This team is full of goals. Unlike last season.”

“They will be absolutely champing at the bit to get a result-needs v. careful management (as ever)”

“This is going to be a very tough game but the pressure will be on Sheffield United and we need to pounce on that. We could probably walk away more than satisfied with even a point but I’d love to see us push for a win as it will put us in a very strong position for our next two away games. It’s a must win for Sheff Utd through and hopefully we don’t save them and Wilder like we did in League One where they went from bottom to top and eventually strolled to the title.”

“Have to be wary of the team they should be, but equally think we’ve shown recently we can compete with the best in this league so no reason not to take the game to them.”

“I think we need to guard against expectancy here. Let’s be honest, Sheffield United are going to get going sooner rather than later. Wilder will have had his first full week to get into them and boost morale, like him or loathe him he’s very good at that side of it. I’m all for us having our tails up after Bristol and going into the game buoyant but in the far bigger picture I don’t think a home draw would be the worst point in the world – this isn’t a home game against the relegation fodder it might currently look on paper. They’ve got some top players at Championship level.”

“I have to say, it’s very neighbourly of Sheff. Utd to be so dire in Sheff. Wed’s hour of need.
However, they may be bottom but there’s no easy game in the Championship, not that Rowett would take any game lightly.
Still, they’ve only scored 1 goal all season, so their problems run deep.
Excluding our first couple of games, where we weren’t at full strength, we’ve had a good couple of home games, scoring 2 in each.
I predict that we’ll score 2 again, but without reply.”

“It wont be Sheffield Utd beating us IF they were to, it would be us getting complacent thinking it will be easy after our recent results, they also now have a guy called CHRIS WILDER who no doubt will be kicking a few arses. Think we will win but may be a close result”

“knowing how Chippy will be desperate to get any kind of result, they will probably be very defensive and look for the slightest chance of a counter strike to get a goal. We may have to contend with a frustrating afternoon of trying to break them down without giving anything away”

“I wish we played them this weekend gone rather than this weekend coming after Wilder has had a full week with them.
They’re in a false position and they have some quality players so it’ll be a very tough game. Our boys will need to be at their absolute best.”

“I would be very surprised if they don’t come in the top half by the end of the season .
They still have a very good squad and CW will get them organised”

“They do have some good players but their confidence is heavily damaged and ours is the exact opposite.
We’re also at home and have a stronger team this year, so there’s no reason we can’t beat them again this season.”

“They should really be promotion contenders and there’s no chance they’ll stay winless for much longer. I would be happy with a draw, and delighted if we put in the same level of performance we’ve seen over the last three games. Just keep picking up points and remaining unbeaten…”

“They have lost 6 out of 6. They really aren’t in a false position. If Luton can go from Premier league and then straight down to league 1, Sheff U can certainly go from Championship play off finalists to league 1.”

“I can’t see any way that Matos would get into our side at the moment?
Maybe shows why Sheffield United have struggled to date.”

“He didn’t get into ours quite a lot last season, so you are probably right. A good athlete but nothing special as a footballer for me, if he wasn’t ex Chelsea I don’t think he would get the hype he does.”

“I think you’re being a bit harsh on Matos there.
I would love to have seen him here, as a squad player though, not as a starter.”
