“My take on the game was that it was an excellent ‘1 nil’ away performance, great assisted by 2 suicidal defensive moments by the Sheffield players. It wasn’t the hammering being described by some, we didn’t create multiple chances. But that may be down to the fact that we didn’t need to throw players forward, as we got our noses in front kept it tight and capitalised on 2 generous mistakes. But we were solid in defence and Sheffield scored a goal that they hardly deserved.”
