We were in fact the better team which was in itself a huge surprise. Many contacts were predicting anything from a four nil defeat up to 10.”

While team played well, went a bit flat when Gyabi went off, guess it was because he was on a booking and there were a lot of “questionable” decisions by the ref. I think the expression was he was a “homer”

“There was nothing between the teams. They scored a sweet strike but it fell nicely for him. Unfortunately football is a game of fine margins where two evenly matched teams (if anything Argyle were slightly better) can produce 90 minutes of good play and it’s one split second that decides the result.The big difference from recent weeks seemed to be 1) no obvious weak links in the starting line up and everyone played at least reasonably well 2) we seemed to have more space and time to play out – whether that was a big pitch, Sheff pressing less aggressively or Argyle’s passing and movement improving idk”

“I’m not feeling the need to join in with the celebrations of a 2-0 loss because we didn’t get absolutely tonked. We were a bit better, but we still didn’t score and we lost and, for my money, the substitutions we made killed us when we could have potentially snatched a draw.
