“Something that cracks me up  is how worked up they are trying to convince us they’re the number one club in Sheffield. Arguing non-stop about our Older, Bigger, Better claim, flipping between “attendance doesn’t matter” and then suddenly “it definitely does,” and constantly bringing up how a MASSIVE club can be so bad. Even Wilder was bringing up events from almost 10 years ago post-match.
I honestly can’t think of anything they say about themselves that we even bother arguing against. Maybe we call the whole BDTBL thing a load of rubbish, but is there anything else?
CW gets rattled by us—proper wound up by Wednesday fans, by DR, by us just existing, really. You can see it every time he talks about us.
They’re better than us right now, absolutely no one is arguing against it.
But that inferiority complex? Still alive and kicking. Even after a Sheffield double.”

“Wilder highlights the difference between United and Wednesday fans If he was Wednesdays manager we’d be cringing like phook if he went off like he does At United it’s a badge of honour They really are a horrible little club who will never be as big as Wednesday”

“his only path in football management is to manage Sheffield united and hate SWFC ….he’s a bitter ..insecure..jealous man who hates us ………….and he’ll spend the rest of his days ..a bitter insecure man who hates us”

“He simply has a chip on his shoulder and ALWAYS has to be a typical pig. You’ve won a a game a football, a derby game, it should be about your team and how pleased you are. Not a chapter and verse on SWFC on how my dads bigger than your dad. Full weight helmet”

“IF he believed what crap he comes out with he wouldn’t rant like the sad and pathetic pig he is…. We beat him every day, just because we exist!”

“The very epitome of a United fan, really.”

“Even United fans must cringe listening to that. Makes himself look a complete narcissist fool.”

“Surely even pigs are embarrassed?”

“Nothing surprises me about Wilder. He’s a scumbag pig before he’s a football manager – puts the former above the latter. Classless and deserving of no respect.”

“I have never hated anyone associated with the pigs as much as I do Wilder. I don’t condole violence but I would make an exception for him, the bitter piggy basterward!”

“A pigs mantra.. Hate Wednesday first, support Utd second This man has just truly proved that. You win a derby and a full on rant about us. Not getting promoted, that’s fine but at least we beat Wednesday!”

“Wilders day will come. He can’t behave like he does without repercussions at some point. Surprised no one has mentioned his foul rant at Röhl when Patterson kicked the ball at their player. Or the fact he had 2 x SUFC security guards at his side all match. If nothing else that should indicate you need to look at your behavior. .
Röhl tried his hardest to avoid his handshake at the end. He’s totally embarrassed by him.
Football has a nasty habit of biting you on the arse. Leeds and Burnley are both better sides and the likes of Coventry and Sunderland will beat United in the play offs. And then Wilder will lose his job. What goes around etc.”

“I am not sure anyone is upset are they?
I mean there is a man pushing 60 who is the manager of a professional football club and is on the verge of getting his beloved club promoted to the Premier league and has just done the double over his hated rivals and he spends 15 minutes ranting about Wednesday, can’t enjoy the win because of his obsessing, I think most of us find it funny don’t we. The man is showing that club and it’s fans for what we all think they are, obsessed and only judge success as to where they stand vs us. I love it!”

“I’ve never known any Wednesday manager give much of a flying fizz about United. They are as relevant as Tranmere Rovers.”

“United areirrelevant, they are doing what they have always done and yo yoing between divisions, we are going through our worst period in our history and to them this period is the best in their history….because everything they do has to be judged against where we are”

“They are literally proving the facts and arguments that they’re trying so desperately to disprove.”

“The fact we took them all way adds to the hurt for Wilder”

“United “dominating” us is always based on us being on our arse in some capacity.
United aren’t Brighton, Brentford or Bournemouth. They’re not even where Forest have got themselves to. They’re not playing at the new White Hart Lane or training at the Etihad Campus. You might think it with the way some of them go off about the difference between our grounds and facilities but they don’t.
If I was a United fan I think I’d be more concerned with why that is, and why their club continues to flame out despite the millions and millions spent every time they get a chance not just to leave us in the dust – but properly establish themselves at the next level. I also don’t think I’d be too fond of the gaffer who, both culturally and in terms of performance, keeps that hard ceiling on progress firmly in place.”

“I don’t measure our potential in comparison to United.

IF and the word is indeed IF we ever get someone to truly look after us, we should be measuring ourselves against the likes in the second tier of teams outside the ‘big six’ in the Premier League.
That’s our true potential.”

“United will never be anywhere close to where we once where in English football and so providing DC sells soon, we are not that far behind them.”

“Think it shows that a lot of United fans are permanently and psychologically scarred by our team in the early 90s. And are wishing that feeling on us.”

“This is as good as it ever gets for United. Being ahead of a club that has been stuck in reverse for 25 years.”

“Whilst I do think it’s a big ask for us to make up 6 points gap to 6th, everyone fighting for 5th and 6th are very inconsistent so it’s not impossible so the mouthing off is quite funny. Wasn’t it Barnsley with the double over us, but we took promotion in the final? Can you imagine if that happened again with the grunters”
