Following my last “Former Players Update” I asked for suggestions about who to cover next.  The response was greater than I expected and so instead of one long post, I will try to cover all the names requested in 3 separate posts across the week. Thanks to everybody who got involved and if there is any player you wish me to take a look at then please do let me know.

FC Basel Fans Views On Bénie Traoré

“Traoré is fine. He’s not that consistent yet (otherwise he’d be somewhere else).”

“I feel sorry for this guy; he deserves to have scored a few goals by now. He’s on his way to finishing the season without having even known what it’s like to score a goal in the first division.”

Derby County Fans Views On Ben Osborn

“Said at the start of the season it was a bad signing and he proved me right”

Don’t think he’s influenced one game this season. Offers nothing.
Fits right in with the rest of the garbage we’ve signed.”

“Extremely poor season from our top earner. One of few that have genuine championship experience or higher and I expected far more. One assist to show for a very underwhelming seasons says it all. Sadly legs appear to have gone. Shame as he loves the club and comes across well.”

Celtic Fans Views On Auston Trusty

A concern atm. His first season, hopefully he’ll improve.”

“Type of CB that makes one error and it gets into his head. Always takes time for players to settle and im convinced he has the attributes to be an excellent player for us.”

“Flakiest player I’ve seen in years. If he has bad start he just goes to pieces and to me that’s mentality and psychology”

“he’s not a bad player and he’s capable but something is not clicking with him, he’s in the wrong place too much and always seems rushed when he’s trying to tackle or clear.”

“He’s very indecisive both in terms of what to do on the ball and off it. I really don’t think he’s much of an upgrade on Scales.

He may be. But on this seasons evidence not convinced, I don’t think he’s been near the same level consistently. In Europe, Trusty has been more dependable, pardon the pun.”

“I think its absolutely crazy to question his athleticism or ability. It genuinely baffles me how people are suddenly having doubts over the best CB we’ve had in decades ability to step up. He’s strong as an ox and bullies most forwards. He’s no slouch either.”
