Plymouth 2-1 Blades

“Didn’t see that coming but thoroughly deserved.”

“Sheffield got exactly what they deserved today – nothing.”

“Sheffield United were terribly disappointing for a top 3 side, I really expected this to be the game where it really fell apart, which I guess it did, just not for us.
Sh***housery in the first half at 0-0 and using fouling and whingeing as a tactic to get to the Premier league is probably not the best idea if you want to be successful or even gain respect. Such a strange team, led by a strange manager who doesn’t appear to have too many admirers in the game. The Blades are a better side than all that play acting. Maybe it has been successful for them this season, not today. When their three sub strikers came on, each of which would start for us and we could only dream of affording, you get a sense of the disparity in the quality of the two teams. However, heart and teamwork won today.”

“Sheffield United got what they deserved. All of their mouthing off, rolling around on the floor, and breaking up the game is designed to unsettle the opposition and throw them off their game, but I think it actually threw them off their game. They would be a far better team if they simply got on with things and played like a better team.”

“They tried to manage the game from too far out instead of looking to get a 2nd or 3rd goal. The timewasting stuff roused Home Park from its slumbers.
They got what they deserved!”

“TBH – I didn’t think much of them up at Bramhall Lane. But for Obafemi ducking a block and a late penalty we really deserved something- and that was in amongst our really poor run away from home. I think they’re miles away from Prem standard if they do go up.”

“To be honest l was disappointed with Sheffield Utd. Apart from Rak-Sakyi l couldn’t really see a player to frighten our back line. “

“I was really disappointed in the opposition, Cannon was just awful. They were all very ‘professional’ every time near them the sniper made an appearance and they were calling for a booking but very physical when we had the ball with lots of off the ball contact.”

“Football won today. Sheffield played like babies; the sheer timewasting and such reminded me of the likes of Stoke at home in December 2023 and more recently Cardiff at home.”

“Sheffield United were terribly disappointing for a top 3 side, I really expected this to be the game where it really fell apart, which I guess it did, just not for us.

“Sheffield United are a miserable lot. Their tall midfielder with a double barrelled name ending Souza fouled throughout the game and post tackles rolled in agony trying to hoodwink the ref that he was the one who was actually transgressed, not the perpretrator. He eventually was taken off himself injured after he kicked through the back of Bundu’s boot, which forced playerour to skew his intended shot on goal. I would have loved to have seen that on VAR.”

“HAVE IT SHEFFIELD YOU DIVERS”

“Vile team with a vile manager
Enjoy your journey up the motorway with no points”

“Sheff Utd are a horrible team and delighted if they don’t go up, hoping Cooper has recovered OK from his injury”

“Blades thought we would just roll over & give them the points”

“Stick that up your ar*e Wilder!!!
Your average team is staying in the Championship.”

“That was such a satisfying win because I don’t think I’ve ever seen a team as mouthy and a bench as mouthy as Sheffield United’s today. I’m not even criticising, as it clearly works for them a lot of the time, but they’re just exactly the sort of club you want to humble.”

“Battered them on the pitch and then in the tunnel, i heard!”

“Chris ‘They are where they are for a reason’ Wilder – thanks for the pre-game team talk.”

“Pressure getting to Mr Wilder- he obviously has no class or decorum”

If you watch the replay, one of the Argyle players started eating a sandwich in front of Wilder, which we know he finds intolerable.

“Cooper had a face like a slapped arse during the “Wilder” huddle, shame!”

“The Sheffield players, who were previously playing the gamesmanship card by falling down ‘injured’ (including Cooper) were now shell shocked as their season implodes.”

“What the heck was their manager doing going into the face of the argyle player infrastructure of the away end
He causes all the problems”

“Sheff Utd should have left the pitch straight after the game. The trouble all stemmed from Wilder hosting a post match debrief in the middle of the pitch whilst we were celebrating. That delayed their exit to the tunnel and led to the clash.”

“What a very unpleasant person he is! (I am trying to be polite!)”

“Dinosaur of a manager who knows this is his last chance and he and his team are messing it up. Probably be out of a job in the summer.”

“The sorest loser in football.”

“Him and his side are folding under pressure, enjoy the playoffs Chris!”

“Fair play to Wilder. No sour grapes in his interview and he played down what happened in the tunnel. He said he’d had a chat with MM and the ref and it doesn’t sound like anything will come of it.
Edit: though he’s still a prat because it was him who started it in the first place. Gyabi and Tijani just walked away but one of their lads lost his head and it all kicked off from there.”

“Very fair interview with Wilder after the game I thought.”

“The Blades forum is a hoot right now – some calling for Wilder to be sacked How entitled is that, ffs?!”
